(Honours degree in Political Economy) 1967: Arrival in Britain, marriage, begin working in publishing 1967-to date: Have held a variety of posts in publishing. In 1983 I started my own publishing company, which I still run today. Textile training: 1976: Diploma in textile history and practical Indian embroidery techniques, Calico Museum, Ahmedabad, India 1982: 3-month-intensive course in modem/traditional patchwork and quilting techniques, Memberships: Publications: Various articles for The World of Embroidery, also for American and German magazines. Collections: Exhibitions: Other activities: 2006: Was invited by the
Leicester-based organisation, NAVRANG, to run an art project involving
several artists and funded by the Esmée Fairbairn
Foundation. The
project, entitled INFLUENCES, culminated in an exhibition of the
resulting work, held at Leicester
New Walk Museum in Spring 2007. |
